8.     Things to keep in mind

  1. Electronic formats require different posture, interaction and physical considerations.
  2. Changing the level of interaction and personability – chats, journals and the faceless medium often pull on different personality traits than more traditional methods.  Be aware of the boundaries between public and private when class work goes on line
  3.  What are your goals – technology often changes the focus
  4. Permissions – online journals and formats are open to the public to varying degrees
  5. Time differences
  6. Plagiarism vs Fair Use vs Copyright Issues
  7. Classroom filters
  8. Archiving formats
  9. Technology Accessibility – do all students have the same ability level and access
  10. Teachers should decide what tools they need and survey what they have already in the classroom.
