§         Learners will identify the changes that occur when transitioning to Online Learning.

§         Learners will identify technology skills required to participate in the environment and locate potential resources to strengthen their skills.

§         Learners will utilize technology skills to search for resources and email responses.

§         Learners will evaluate online educational providers to locate a match to their learning goals.

Session II Assignment

Research Online Learning Opportunities

Search the Internet and locate one college in New Jersey and any additional one college that offer online learning opportunities. Develop a referenced response between 100 and 250 words responding to the following discussion topics and then email the response as and attachment to the facilitator and learners in the course.  Review the responses you receive and respond to at least one other learner asking a question to provide a new thought to ponder.

Discussion topic:

D1 – Compare the two sources and describe some of the differences you have noted in services and accreditation.  Reference response - Include the APA works cited page with your posting.

D2 – What are three services you are looking for from an educational institution offering online learning opportunities and why?

Session III: Your experience

Make notes of your experience of searching, developing the responses, sending and receiving attachments.  Access the approximate time invested to develop skills if required, search and develop the responses.  Two hours for session two will be awarded based on the completion of the above assignment although your actual time invested will differ significantly.  Session three will be used to discuss your experience with the tools and process.
